Letter From the Editor

In this issue we have the first Gold Ticket earning article from one of our younger rocket scientists, Hans Probst. Great job Hans and I am sure you will enjoy jumping right to the front of the line! I recommend saving it for a day when the lines are long, like the April night launch. Come on kids, it doesn’t take long, it doesn’t have to be large and it is easy once you get started. It probably will take less time than one wait in line for one launch. Such a deal! Also we have Carl Reisinger’s article on the upcoming competition launches. Oxygen-Hydrogen rockets are Geoff Canham’s contribution and Bill Orvis wrote up the details of his Mini Machine on 13mm Apogee motors.

Please note there is a change to the calendar at the back. The competition is now at the June 18th launch which was originally on the 17th.

LUNAR Meeting 16 March

7:30 p.m. - 9:30 pm, Carnegie Building in Carnegie Park between 3rd & 4th Streets in Livermore. This is on Thursday, unlike the meetings for the rest of the year which will be on Wednesdays. More of Lynn Kissel’s motors will be on auction. Insurance rumors are sure to be also a big topic.

Next LUNAR Launch 18 March

8 am. - 2 pm at Robertson Park: This is a regular sport launche with a Saint Patrick’s Day theme. Anyone got a leprechaun they can launch? Or a bottle of Guinness?

Note: Night Launch on April 15! Get them lighted rockets ready!
