Initiacam Picture

Ron Baskett, LUNAR #188

Larry Baskett added a camera-carrying payload section to an AeroTech Initiator to create the "Initiacam" vehicle. The camera is a Vivatar "Pocket 35" (now sold as the "Opus 35"). The shutter is connected to a relay which is driven by a 555 timer chip. Starting by a switch released at launch, the camera takes a photo about every 2 seconds (variable time set by a potentiometer) during flight.  Descent of the payload section is under a parachute.
