I just received a product warning and recall from AeroTech which was sent out to all NAR Section leaders and Tripoli Prefects. I don't feel like typing in the entire two page notice, but basically, they are having a problem with the delay insulators in their 38mm "EasyAccess" reload kits (if you don't use reloads, you can stop reading here).

Last year, to try to eliminate packaging errors, AeroTech color coded the delay insulators: blue for 29mm and red for 38mm (they were both white previously). There is no problem with the 29mm insulators, but apparently the red 38mm insulators are causing "premature ejection and other delay related anomalies" to quote from the release. No explanation is given as to why this is happening (they probably don't know) but they've gone back to the white insulator for the 38mm kits. If you have an AeroTech 38mm Easy Access reload kit with a red delay insulator DON'T USE IT! Contact AeroTech and they will send you a new white insulator for each kit.

Contact them at:

AeroTech, Inc.
Red Insulators
1955 S. Palm St., Ste. #15

Or:

Fax them at (702) 641-1883 and put "Red Insulator" in the subject line of the cover page.

Or:

E-mail to aerotech@powernet.net and put "Red Insulator in the subject field.
